Rich in Red, Chic in Black

This wedding is not only one that brings together the hearts of two different people, but of different cultures as well. She’s a Korean, he’s a Moroccan, and theirs was a truly classy wedding. You really can’t go wrong with red and black combo. What’s interesting is it never occurred to me that it would work in the color scheme of a wedding. This couple sure showed me! And after the nightmare they experienced (on the eve of their original wedding date, no less!), I’m happy they gave it a chance and still had this beautiful wedding. Congratulations, Deborah and Youssef!

The Album Story:

I cannot even describe how crazy the backstory for this wedding was. Deborah & Youssef originally planned a destination wedding in Morocco. After a flash flood ruined the day and trapped them in the guest house they resided in over night, they had no food or running water for almost 24 hours. The wedding had been cancelled. The Moroccan equivalent of the national guard fought all day to get to the guest house to save them. Finally by night fall, they had managed to build up enough road to commence with their rescue mission.

That was November of last year. The couple debated not even having a wedding at all after that, but eventually decided to try again. Deborah never had the chance to put on her wedding gown and have her father walk her down the aisle. This wedding they’d put together at Little Gardens was elegant, simple, classy, and put together in just a couple of months! They re-used what they could from their first wedding that never happened. Deborah’s side of the family is Korean, Youssef’s side of the family is Moroccan Muslim.
