Pleasure in Nature

Friendship is truly the best foundation of love for Greg and Brittney, husband and wife to be. They met at work, became friends and started dating after a couple of years. Now, they are set to become each other’s better half. It’s a beautiful surrounding at Point Defiance Park in Washington where the couple held their engagement shoot. The flowers, trees, vines and nature itself were aptly cohesive oh the casual feel of their outfits that day, as if Greg and Brittney were in no doubt made for the scene.

A woman always love surprises, I’m sure you would agree. Brittney is one lucky girl to be able to experience a carefully planned proposal. Greg teamed up with two of his future bride’s friends to have a mock vacation on one weekend. Little did she know that it would her most awaited moment: Greg’s big question of “Will You Marry Me?” Read along to know more about their story!

From the bride:

Greg surprised me by having my two best friends plan a weekend getaway in Cle Elum. I thought we were going for my friend Joanna’s birthday. She rented this beautiful house out in the woods and invited some of my closest friends. Our plan on Saturday was to go on this beautiful hike to Rachel Lake. It was a tough one but had some of the most beautiful scenery and waterfalls. Everybody got to the top and there was a hidden lake it was breath taking. Greg and I went down to the edge of the cliff to take a picture and I turn around and he is on one knee. I was blown away. My friends had hiked up signs and champagne they immediately pulled it out and we celebrated. I was on cloud nine the whole way down almost tripping constantly from staring at my left hand.

More than their planned wedding Buckley, Washington, she’s excited to marry him and have her friends and family witness their union.

This outdoor shoot didn’t purely rely on the natural beauty of the gardens. It was a great idea to use props such as a dried leaf with their date of marriage listed on it. It’s amazing how they were creative and resourceful at the same time. Little details such as this really matter on how beautiful the photos will appear. A “Mr. & Mrs.” banner is a very clever idea to use on the photoshoot, too. It added a more personal touch, along with the ampersand sign that looked like a piece of art when placed in between their shoes for a detail shot, more so when they held it in front of them while exchanging a sweet caress.
